Bjarnarhöfn Shark Museum is situated on the northern side of Snæfellsnes peninsula.
At the museum you get the taste of the “real Iceland” and experience something quite unique. Bjarnahöfn shark farm offers a another side to the unique history of the locality and gives you a taste of traditional Icelandic specialities - for example traditional shark and dried fish. You learn the history of the area, look at the old shark fishing boats while you eat the “rotten shark”. (note that this is not recommended for the faint hearted!)
