This tour is short, but it gives you great value for money. We provide you with the car and accommodation at a three star hotel with private facilities. You will stay at either Hotel Örk or Hotel Selfoss but we can´t guarantee which hotel you will stay at until we confirm your booking. The accommodation and the rental car is based on availability from our suppliers.

Day suggestion 1 (recommended first day): FISHING VILLAGES - SOUTH COAST SHIGHTS
Drive from Reykjavík via Hellisheiði heath to the small town of Hveragerði, an interesting community whose history and existence has been entirely built on top of hot springs that are found in and around the town. Visit the new geothermal area which broke through the earth's surface following earthquake activity in 2008. Continue along Ölfusá River to the coast and visit the small fishing villages of Eyrarbakki and Stokkseyri. Visit the Ghost Centre, walk along the shore line or take an optional kayak tour.
Visit the beautiful Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls and if you are ready to drive even longer you can enjoy exploring the rocky headland of Dyrhólaey*, where thousands of puffins nest during the summer.
*Please note that Dyrhólaey is closed during nesting season in the spring from the middle of May until June 23rd
Day suggestion 2: GOLDEN CIRCLE
Spend the day enjoying scenic and historical highlights of the south coast. Visit Gullfoss waterfall, the famous Geysir geothermal area and the UNESCO site of Þingvellir National Park, which is also the site of the ancient Icelandic parliament. The park is situated in a stunning volcanic landscape, on the border of Iceland's largest natural lake.

- Cave tour close to Þingvellir
- Geysir Geocentre museum
Day suggestion 3: THE REYKJANES PENINSULA
Drive to the south coast of Reykjanes Peninsula. Visit the popular Strandarkirkja church on your drive along the coast. Legend has it that seamen in mortal danger made a promise to build a church on the coast if they survived. Today, people with various problems still seek help at the church. Drive to Krýsuvík geothermal area and visit the sulphur springs at Seltún. Nearby, Lake Kleifarvatn offers a unique landscape. Travel along the coast through the fishing village of Grindavík driving towards the Blue Lagoon. The Blue Lagoon is a unique natural pool of geothermal seawater in the middle of a moss-covered lava field. It is known for its special properties and its beneficial effect on the skin and attracts visitors from all over the world.

- Saltfisksetur (Salt Cod Museum) in Grindavík
- Reykjanes Peninsula on an ATV/Quad bike or on a regular bicycle
- Horse riding tour among lava fields and along the coast line
