Food and Fun Festival in February
The seventh Food & Fun Festival will be held in Reykjavik from February 20th to 25th, 2008. The main emphasis is to expose the world to the incredible culinary skills of Icelandic and international chefs and the pure ingredients that make Icelandic cooking so fresh and flavorful.
The name really says it all... Food and Fun is an event which combines outstanding culinary skills, fresh natural ingredients, Icelandic outdoor adventure and the world-famous Reykjavik nightlife to create the ultimate recipe for fun...
The core element of the festival involves world acclaimed chefs who collaborate with Reykjavik's best restaurants. Each chef is assigned to one of the participating restaurants, where they prepare a special menu, made out of Icelandic ingredients only.
The second element of the festival is the chef competition, which takes place on the last day of the the festival.
The third and last element is Iceland itself. This element offers the incredible opportunity to explore pure nature, breathtaking vistas and quaint city streets all in the same day.
