Hekla Center

The Hekla center has now opened. The exhibition and restaurant is open daily from 10-22.

It will be possible to learn something about volkanism in general and about the history of mount Hekla in special.

Leirubakki is very near the Hekla and the museum fits itself into the surroundings in a very special way, with special consideration of the environment. There will also be a museumshop and a viewpoint with a magnificient view over Hekla.
