Live Broadcast from the Barn

26.11.2007

The hosts at the country-hotel, Brunnholl, are now offering unusual television material to their guests. Their son, a dairy farmer, installed 4 cameras inside the barn, so he can easily monitor the cows round the clock. An excellent idea grew from this, to extend the broadcast to all guests of the country-hotel.

Customarily the guests of the country-hotel come for a visit to the barn, to watch the milking of the cows. Needless to say this new approach has been well received by the guests, as now they can rest in their rooms and watch this all on the TV screen. They might not be able to enjoy the warmth of the cow's body, stroke its soft fur nor smell the powerful odour of the cattle, but this certainly is a modern way of presenting the farmer's life.

Brunnholl, a family-run establishment, is located close to Höfn village in the south-west part of Iceland.
