Toronto as a New Destination with Icelandair

Icelandair will start scheduled flights to Toronto in May. Iceland Travel welcomes this new destination and will attend the Addison Travel Marketing Show in Toronto on 18.-21.February. Last year Icelandair started flying again to Halifax, so there is a strong focus on Canada.

Toronto is Canada's largest city and transportation center. This city offers huge possibilities for inbound tourism to Iceland as Toronto is the key Canadian transportation hub for millions of people. It also has the potential to become a very popular destination for Icelanders as it's a thriving multicultural city.

Icelandair has already hired 3 employees who will represent and market this new destination; Robert Keddy as sales manager for Canada, Stephanie Tomlinson as regional sales executive for Ontario & Western Canada and Glenn Lyon as regional sales executive for Atlantic Canada & Quebec.
