Location

In a small village by Lake Laugarvatn in the south of Iceland, about 90 km from Reykjavik. Only open during summer.

28 simple rooms, all on the first and second floors, with private facilities.

Facilities

Two sitting lounges and a pleasant restaurant (seating 60 people) overlooking the lake, offering buffet breakfast, light snacks during the day and solid meals for dinner. The hotel offers three classrooms and good facilities for smaller conferences.

Surroundings

Nicely located in a small village by Lake Laugarvatn, within walking distance from Vigðalaug (Sacred Pool) a geothermal spring which is reputed to have healing powers. Also within walking distance from a swimming pool, a natural sauna, shops and a restaurant.

Interesting places

Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir hot spring area, Þingvellir national park and Skálholt Cathedral.
