Skógar Edda Hotel**

Location

In the southern part of Iceland in Skógar. About 50 km from Hvolsvollur and 150 km from Reykjavik. The hotel is open only during summertime.

Rooms

34 twin rooms without private facilities. Sleeping-bag accomodation for up to 20 people in the gymnasium (mattresses on the floor).

Facilities

A restaurant, seating up to 80 people, is renowned for its splendid dinner buffet, but also serves breakfast and lunch. Meeting facilities for groups of up to 30-40 in the main building. Within the hotel there is an indoor pool, with hot-pots (jacuzi) outside in a secluded garden.

Surroundings

Skógar, nestled under the roots of Myrdalsjokull glacier. In the area is the best museum about daily life in Iceland.

Mýrdalsjökull glacier, Dyrhóley, Fimmvörðuháls walking path, Þórsmörk area, Katla volcano.
