Book this packageThe first stop is at the small fishing village of Grindavík, located on the south side of the Reykjanes peninsula. Life in Grindavík has to large extent evolved around fishing since the time of its settlement around 934 A.D. The Rift, situated in the surroundings of the Álftagjá rift valley, provides visitors with a unique chance to cross the Eurasian and American continents in just minutes. A visit is made to the three exhibitions at the Duus Culture Centre: The Reykjanes Maritime Museum, Museum of Art and Museum of Heritage. The last stop before returning to Reykjavík is at the Viking World exhibition, built on the history of sailing trade, warfare and religion of the Viking era.
