Thingvellir (Þingvellir) National Park, is where the Althing - an open-air assembly, which represented the whole of Iceland - was established in 930. Þingvellir was put on UNESCO's World Heritage List in 2004. Geyser hot spring area is world famous for Geyser which has given its name to this phenomenom.
