Located in the South West of Iceland, with several of Iceland's nature highlights within an easy reach:

Þingvellir National Park is one of Iceland's greatest historical sites and jewel of nature, in few places of the world the geology becomes so visible. Very close by is the spectacular Gullfoss waterfall, one of Iceland's most impressive waterfalls and the famous Geysir hot spring area with Strokkur, an impressive hot spring that spouts every few minutes.

Gjáin gorge in Þjórsardalur is a beautiful natural phenomenon and an oasis at the edge of the central highlands. The famous volcano Mount Hekla is close as well as Landmannalaugar, the pearl of the central highlands with its warm brook that enables you to bathe and relax in natural surroundings. The attractions by the south coast such as Dyrhólaey cliff, the black lava beach by Vík and the beautiful waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógarfoss can easily be visited.
In the area you can enjoy the unique experience of riding the Icelandic horse, local fishing, playgrounds, walking paths, river rafting and more.

Minniborgir is only 75 km from Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland, and 122 km from Keflavík International Airport.

Useful information:

Two sizes of cottages: 41 m2 and 80 m2
Bigger cottages (80 m2) can accommodate up to 9 people in two bedrooms and an attic. One bedroom has a double bed, the other bedroom has a double bed on bottom and a single bunk bed on top. The attic has two double beds. (prices upon request)

Smaller cottages (41 m2) can accommodate up to 6 people in two bedrooms. Each bedroom has a double bed on bottom and a single bunk bed on top.

No meal- or cleaning service is available during the stay.

The cottages have a fully equipped kitchen with Electric stove and oven, refrigerator and freezer a dishwasher, a microwave oven, crockery and cooking utensils.

Private hot tub on the porch of each house

Please note: The rental price includes unrestricted use of the cottage. The cottages may differ in standard of amenities and setting, but all are fully furnished and equipped as mentioned before.
