Great workout in the most amazing environment!

This tour is a must for everyone who's fascinated with glaciers. They are breathtaking from distance - but there´s nothing like experiencing them up, close and personal!

Solheimajokull glacier is a magnificent place.  The ancient ice floe is crevassed riddled, with huge ice ridges and spiraling sinkholes everywhere.  Ashes from past volcanic eruptions are hidden in the ice, but in this tour, you will see this up-close and personal.

At some point in the tour, our expert guides will find a good ice wall and gear you up for an easy climbing. You will be provided with all the tools needed, such as ice axes, crampons and safety lines.

Pick-up at your hotel/guesthouse in Reyjavik is included, along with a packed lunch. The driving distance is ca. 1,5 hours from the city centre and the hike it self takes ca. 3 hours. All in all, this is a great full day tour that will not only give you a decent work out but also leave you speechless because of the glacier´s surreal beauty.

Bring with you:
Warm outdoor clothing, waterproof jacket and pants. Good hiking shoes are recommended! No knowledge of the sport required.
